O/M Stand

The project was conceived so that light is perceived as a pure element, free from interruption. Visitors become the objects to be illuminated, producing effects of transparency and opacity through the glass panels, depending on their position and the angle of the light beams. On the floor, vinyl inscriptions are engraved or adhered, featuring aperture angles and luminaire specifications, only made visible through the incidence of light. This is the magic of the space.

Simplicity and objectivity. Light as matter, the observer as the illuminated object and as part of a whole. Light is the principal element, living and expressed through itself, without obstacles.

The curtain unifies the space and announces a journey through the light beams, creating darkness, intentionally opening and closing spaces according to what is meant to be revealed, suspended from the roof beams. The glass panels separate the beams, creating display effects and a sense of spatial continuity through transparency, opacity and reflection. The luminaires emerge from the ceiling, producing the light beams; some are brought down to the user’s level, presented as minimal jewellery pieces beneath the light at an angle that casts the least possible shadow, to be handled or not according to O/M’s discretion.
